“What Type Of Cleanser Should I Use?”
Since becoming a professional skincare consultant and beautician, I have given a lot of Skincare Tips In Singapore. It is no secret that many people do not pay as much attention to their cleansers as compared to their moisturizer.
Yes, after all it will be washed off and why bother to have the best. And hence, it is not about the best but about the right one for the right skin type.
The wrong cleansers can strip the skin of its moisture content and your oily skin is likely to be dehydrated. This will aggravate sensitive skin and further congest skin. Resulting in certain skin condition like sensitive skin and pimples to persist (you can read more about Pimple Treatment in Singapore).
Here are categories of cleansers and what we suggest for the different skintype.
Cleansing Foam: As cleansing foam is the most dehydrating of all cleansers, it is best used on days when your skin feels oily and need a thorough cleansing. However, sensitive and eczema prone skin should not use a foam cleanser as it is very likely to aggravate the condition. Guinot Microbiotic Foam is a part of its purifying range which has antibacterial properties to help with blemished face.
Cleansing Gel: The most suitable cleanser for all skin type as it gives a very fresh and clean feeling. Especially for those in 20+s and early 30+. Not recommended for mature skin as it will also remove the natural oil from mature skin. Maria Galland Cleansing Gel is one of my favorite in this category as it cleansed without leaving the skin feeling tight.
Cleansing Milk: A good quality cleansing milk helps to cleanse the face while leaving the face feeling moist and supple. For those who have been using foam or gel textured cleanser, it takes a little getting used to cleansing milk. Maria Galland Cleansing Milk has an amazing texture with a very light fragrance. Suitable for those of us who are not used to any ‘sticky-after-wash’ feeling now strong fragrance.
Cleansing Oil: Cleansing oil acts as a good make up remover as it helps to remove stubborn sunscreen and eye make up. Spread the cleansing oil evenly on the face, wet your finger tips and emulsify the oil with circular motion. This helps to draw the impurities for clogged pores and help to heal congested skin. Guinot Brightening Cleansing Oil not only deep cleanse but also brightens up the skin.
