Botox – a purified derivative of botulinum toxin A, made from a bacterium, some termed it as a deadly poison.
Celebrities swear by them to smooth out their wrinkled foreheads and crow’s feet. Now thousands of working women as young as 25 years old are using Botox to achieve the V shaped chin, remove crow’s feet, forehead expression lines and laughter lines.
But those having such treatments risk damaging their health, a leading neurophysiologist is warning.
- Unable to response to subtle smile
Botox treatment result in mild paralysis of the facial muscles. This weakens the person’s abillity to understand the expression of another person’s facial expression especially the ones which are subtle and restrained. This will affect the person’s communication skills as many of our emotions are reined and less obvious in manner.
- Droopy Eyelid
Persistant treatments on forehead to remove wrinkles have left some recipients with eye lids which droop for 3-4 weeks. This is especially when the person flies too quickly after the treatment.
- Potentially inhibit vital brain chemical
Animal experiments have shown that botulinum toxin can affect the way nerves behave and may inhibit the release of vital brain chemicals.
How do we treat frown lines, laughter lines and crows feet without the use of Botox?
I used to spot 3 deep front lines on the forehead and after using 2 bottles of Fliorga Time Zero Anti Aging serum, the results was simply amazing.
Fliorga’s product is a cosmetic skincare range inspired by aesthetic medicine.
Firstly, Hyaluronic acid, a dissacharide (or the lay man term as simple sugar, though often misunderstood to be an acid), is also naturally found in the body is the main ingredient in the Fliorga series. It plumps the tissue and fills in wrinkles and fine lines.
The second ingredient, NCTF a patented Fliorga ingredient is a blend of vitamins, amino acids, co-enzymes, minerals and antioxidants. It is usually injected into the skin using mesotherapy roller.
Meso + acts deep down into the skin’s layer to stimulate fibroblasts for collagen production and skin renewal.
Priced at S$170 at 30ml, it is indeed value for money.
