Not a good idea, unless you use a good toner and mask right after as part of your skincare routine.
Blackheads are so annoying! Watching the facebook suggested post of the latest DIY Blackhead remover strip brings out the OCD in us.
What are blackheads? They occur when your pores become clogged with excess sebum and dead skin cells. The difference between a black head and a white head is simply whether or not the pore is open or closed.
If the pore is open, the plug of sebum/skin cells oxidizes as it is in contact with the oxygen in the air, which turns it black.
Overly stripping your nose is not a good way to get rid of your blackheads, and is only going to make it worse as you’ll just end up drying out your skin, which will cause more oil to be created to make up for it, and…well it’s a vicious cycle.
The trick to reduce blackhead is to have clean healthy pores. Using the right toner to contract the skin tissue and tighten the pores helps.
This followed by a suitable moisturizer and sunblock (day care), coupled with weekly mask will help to keep your skin blackhead and white head free!
The key is to know your skin type. To make it easier, you can schedule an appointment with our e-beautician.
